Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern use of the No Shanks website, mobile application and related trip, event, marketplace, payment, competition, communication and memory services. By creating an account, accepting an invitation, submitting information or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The No Shanks service

No Shanks provides a shared platform for organizers, players, golf travel operators and golf clubs. Depending on the user’s role and the experience, the service may include:

• trip and event planning, interest polls, invitations, confirmations and reminders;
• destination, date, budget, itinerary, accommodation, logistics, meal and activity planning;
• operator proposals, club availability requests and group tee-time commitments;
• participant, guest, rooming, caddie and special-requirement information;
• deposits, installment schedules, payment processing, transaction status and reconciliation;
• pairings, handicaps, games, score entry, live standings, player contributions and winnings;
• notifications, group communication, photos, reviews, recaps and permanent trip or event history;
• operator and club white-label or co-branded experiences;
• partner, referral and ancillary-service opportunities.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally capable of entering a contract and must provide accurate, current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify No Shanks promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Roles and responsibilities

Organizers

An organizer is responsible for the accuracy of the experience details, invitations, participant permissions, rules, payment requests and decisions made for the group. The organizer must have authority to provide participant information and communicate on behalf of the experience.

Players and participants

A participant is responsible for responding accurately, completing required information, making payments when due, following event rules and respecting the group, operator, club and other participants.

Operators

An operator is responsible for the accuracy of packages, proposals, pricing, availability, licences, insurance, travel services, communications and performance of the services it agrees to provide.

Clubs

A club is responsible for its availability, tee-time commitments, event terms, facilities, staff, course rules, services and delivery of the club experience.

4. Proposals, reservations and third-party services

An organizer may plan independently or request proposals and availability from operators or clubs. A proposal, quote, hold or availability indication remains subject to the provider’s stated terms and final confirmation. When an organizer accepts third-party services, the resulting service contract may be directly between the organizer or participant and the operator, club or other provider. No Shanks provides the operating platform but does not replace the provider’s responsibility for delivering its services.

5. Payments

No Shanks may enable organizers, operators and clubs to request and process deposits, installments, event fees, balances, optional services, refunds and game-related settlements through an integrated payment provider.

• The payer authorizes the amount shown before confirming a transaction.
• Processing fees, platform fees, taxes, cancellation terms and refund conditions are disclosed in the applicable experience, proposal, order or checkout flow.
• The party identified in the payment flow is responsible for the underlying product or service and the applicable refund or cancellation decision.
• No Shanks and its payment providers may perform identity, fraud, sanctions and transaction screening.
• Chargebacks, failed payments and disputes may affect participation, reservations or access to related services.

6. Games, winnings and settlements

No Shanks calculates supported games, standings, contribution statistics, projected winnings and secured winnings using the rules configured for the experience. Users are responsible for confirming the rules before play and using money-game and settlement functionality only where lawful. No Shanks does not guarantee a score entered by a user, organizer, operator or club is correct. Authorized users may correct scores and results according to the event permissions.

7. Group content and communication

You retain ownership of the content you submit, including messages, photographs, reviews, trip details and scores. You grant No Shanks a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, transmit, display and process that content as necessary to operate, secure, promote and improve the service according to your permissions and communication choices.

You must have the rights and permissions required to upload content or information about another person. Group conversation, including trash talk, must remain lawful and must not become harassment, threats, discrimination or abuse.

8. White label and branding

Operators and clubs may use approved white-label or co-branded presentation under a separate commercial arrangement. Each party retains ownership of its own trademarks and grants the permissions reasonably necessary to display the agreed branding. No Shanks may identify itself as the underlying technology provider where required by law, security or the applicable agreement.

9. Marketing and participant relationships

Operators and clubs may use No Shanks to communicate operational information to participants. Marketing, future offers, referral activity and ancillary-service promotion must follow participant permissions, applicable law and the commercial agreement governing the experience. Users may not export or use participant information for an unauthorized purpose.

10. Acceptable use

You may not:

• submit false, misleading, fraudulent or unlawful information;
• create fake requests, reservations, proposals, scores or payment records;
• impersonate another person or organization;
• harass, threaten, discriminate against or abuse another user;
• scrape, reverse-engineer, disrupt or attempt unauthorized access to the service;
• upload malicious code or interfere with security, payment or communication controls;
• use the service, participant information or payment features in violation of law or third-party rights.

11. Travel, golf and safety

Golf, travel, transportation, weather and other activities involve risk. Participants are responsible for passports, visas, health requirements, insurance, accessibility needs, conduct and suitability for the activity. Operators and clubs remain responsible for the safety, quality and legal compliance of the services they provide. No Shanks does not guarantee weather, course conditions, flight or transportation schedules, caddie availability or the performance of a third party.

12. Intellectual property

The service, software, design, trademarks, documentation, technology and No Shanks content are owned by No Shanks or its licensors. Except for the limited rights necessary to use the service, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense or create derivative works from them.

13. Suspension and termination

No Shanks may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, payments, the service or third parties; investigate misuse; comply with law; collect amounts due; or enforce these Terms. A user may stop using the service and request account deletion, subject to transaction, trip-history, legal and operational retention requirements.

14. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” No Shanks does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, a particular operator or club response, the accuracy of content supplied by users or third parties, travel availability, course conditions, or the performance of third-party services.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, No Shanks will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential losses; loss of profits, opportunity, goodwill or data; or loss arising from travel, golf, operator, club or other third-party services. Liability that cannot legally be excluded will be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law and any separate written commercial agreement.

16. Indemnity

Where permitted by law, you agree to indemnify No Shanks against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the service, your content, your breach of these Terms, your delivery of a trip or event, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

17. Changes

No Shanks may update these Terms as the service develops. Material changes will be communicated where required. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

18. Governing terms and law

A separate operator, club, organizer or commercial agreement may supplement these Terms. If it conflicts with these Terms, the separate written agreement controls for that relationship. Governing law and jurisdiction are determined by the applicable written agreement and mandatory consumer law.
